New "spam/hackers attack"

GdA
Hi There!

I've just been able, after several times to enter my account on the forum of my site in order to ban two new users and relative infective posts...

they've sent something that also can avoid people from open their browser...In  a moment I was cut away from every kind of communication or reactions to the situation...

How can we avoid such people to freely access to our forums and send whatever they like?

I've noticed the emails are often the same...

<<Could then Nabble system create a preventive sort of "Sieve",

(at least for us already paying for an adult forum service if not for everybody)

in which those dangerous e-mail adresses can be detected and automatically bounced off from the possibility to register and register again and posting their spams?>>

Possibly, we can cooperate and create a list by sending to "you" all our banned email addresses..or may be they are already ready to be listed from our ban sections...?!?....

How can we avoid this by collaborating or...

does anybody else have ideas on this matter or any special successful way to eradicate the problem at the very start??

Thanks a lot to Nabble Support and to Everybody!

We are protecting our forums even more. As I said before, we cannot say our tactics in public for obvious reasons.
My test forum.

Hi Pedro! :)

Yes you are right! Don't tell your tactics! :) Good work!

Wouldn't it be possible to keep it a bit at bay if the admins had the ability to authorize the users instead of the having a free pass after simply registering? Or have I missed a feature I am eagerly looking for in the support forums...?

You've missed a feature.

Just add all your genuine users to the "Members" group, and adjust your permissions so that those in the "Anyone" and "Registered" groups can't post.
Check out:
Options > Users > Manage users & groups
Options > Users > Change permissions
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!
Once the admin for GregHelp now deleted.
