I have two threads i need to lock. I am clear on how to lock the thread but when I do, it makes my admins get permission to be able to post on them. Is there a way to work around this? My admins need to be able to post in the announcement thread. Our site is Macmaniacs.org.
Locking a thread is meant to stop everyone, including admin, from posting to it, so it is working as designed.
If you want admins to be able to post to a topic but not other users, then you need to place that topic in a sub-forum that has permissions set that prevents all ranks except admins from posting.
