Is there a way to Petition for Ownership Transfer of a Forum?

The http://misterhouse.10964.n7.nabble.com/ forum has been around for many years.  It is primarily an easy to use archive of a SourceForge project's mailing list.  It is not clear to me who the owner of our forum is, it may be Nabble management.  However, none of the current active members of the community has or know who has the authority to edit the forum.

However, a subforum was created that is sparsely used and we as a community would like to disable that sub forum.

Is there a process for petitioning for ownership of a forum?

Normally, if the Nabble team can be satisfied that a forum has been abandoned by it's owner, then they will add a new Administrator.

You just need to post some information here that demonstrates a suitable person is willing and is likely to be accepted by the active users of the forum.
