If your forum is not embedded:

1. Visit the topic where you want the post to be moved to appear.
2. Copy the URL in the address bar of your browser. (Usually quickest done with CTRL-C)
3. Visit the post to be moved, open the MORE menu and select MOVE POST.
4. On the screen that appears paste the URL copied at Step 2.  (Usually quickest done with CTRL-V)
5. Click the MOVE POST button.

If your forum is embedded then you use a different Step 2.

2. In the forum select OPTIONS > PERMALINK and copy the address from the dialogue that appears (Usually quickest done with CTRL-C).

Notes:
1. Any replies to the moved post will also be moved to the new topic.
2. You can use the embedded forum method on non-embedded forums, but it's quicker to go to the address bar of the browser.

Greg -

The 1-5 steps worked OK - at least the post was moved.
But the Post I moved was placed as number 9 of the posts -
Why was it reposted as number 9 on the list of 20 + posts?
Why not 1 or 2 on the Topic page I moved it to. ?

PS:

Come to thinbk about it - that 's not how I moved Posts in the past -
Don't remember using an URL - but rather used a long number?

Topics are displayed in post date order, newest first.

Use MORE > CHANGE POST DATE to alter its position in the list.
