Thanks for the feedback. I think this makes sense and we will discuss this internally. I will let you know how it goes.

I agree this is a option that makes me rethink about having this forum on anything I am trying to have a growing community and all it takes is one person to wreck it by having a chance to spam members.

I also want this option gone I can see if users want to message each other on a forum inbox is different then someone having a way to get to your email box.

please fix this issue

No member of your forum can "spam members" (if by that you mean bulk mailing all your members after having harvested all their email addresses). Even Admin can only access member's email addresses one at a time and has no facility to see a full list of member addresses.

As I see it, the problem is Nabble's "Univeral Back End" and the convention, even necessity, for mailing list software to share member email addresses. However, the convention for forum software is to allow, and even encourage, anonymity through the use of usernames rather than sharing real names and real addresses. It is this ability to be anonymous that encourages the disreputable to behave badly.

I agree that for forums created with Nabble the default should be only to allow emailing of individual members with their permission (while always allowing Admin to mail members). However, for those creating mail lists and mail list archives, the default setting should be to allow individuals to be emailed (keeping the actual address hidden - except to Admin).
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!

Until now I was thinking that the email feature didn't make sense, but now it does (sorry for the lack of faith). But, despite this, for those who use Nabble as a regular forum, it can be a problem.

Two weeks ago, a new user sent to every member in my forum an emails as in "hey, cute, I saw you in the forum and I think we should know each other better...".

What about a box that could be marked saying "don't allow members to send you email (forum administrators can still send you emails)"?
