I've noticed that digest subscriptions to New Topics only is not being sent out. I've verified with several of my testers who are also set up that way that they haven't gotten them either.
Digests for all topics is going out fine. Coleen |

I did a test and signed up for the Digest, New Topics on this Support Forum and didn't get the digest either. So it's definitely a bug.

I believe it is working now.
Please, note that you have to subscribe all sub forums you want to receive the Digest New Topics.

Still didn't get the New Topics only digest - from either my site (Creative Topics), or the main support forum (which I subscribed to also this way). Did you get the one from my site you subscribed to?

Hi Pedro,
Take a look at: http://support.nabble.com/posting-via-nabble-without-mailing-list-membership-not-working-anymore-td7587636.html#a7587640 While the issue is not directly related to this discussion, it might help you track the source of both problems.

Yes we did. It has not been released to all servers yet, since we were testing. That is why you only received your digest. Em 01/11/2013 10:48, "Coleen_Astalos [via Nabble Support]" <[hidden email]> escreveu:

I got the digest to the Nabble Support Forum last night (Saturday), so that's good - looks like it's fixed.
Thanks Pedro! Coleen |

I'm thinking this change has affected a change I previously made to not issue a digest for anyone who was not in the Member group. The change was made in the "digest email" macro (see thread here: http://support.nabble.com/Instant-Emails-amp-Digests-sent-only-to-members-who-can-post-td7587368.html) by changing the filter in digest_email from this:
<n.filter_by.local_subscription.user.can_view.current_node/> to this: <n.filter_by.local_subscription.user.is_in_group group="Members" /> When I made this change initially, I had tested it and it was working (it wasn't issuing a digest for anyone who was subscribed to the forum that isn't in the Members group). But that was before the change you made here to issue digests for members subscribed to only the new posts. At that point, digests weren't being issued at all for members subscribed to only the new posts. (The email address I've discovered this problem on is subscribed to only the new posts. I will change that subscription to all posts and test again overnight to confirm this is actually the problem - but I'm 99% sure it is). What I'm seeing now is for a person subscribed to the digest for a category (in my case I'm testing with the Yahoo Archives section as I know there will be a digest issued each night as my existing Yahoogroup is feeding into it) but NOT in the Member group, they're still getting a digest but with 0 posts in it. It looks like this: ![]() Whereas a person who IS in the Member group their digest is normal (even if subscribed to only new posts): ![]() Where is the code that issues a digest for someone subscribed only to the New Posts? My guess is it's not using the digest email macro - right? Coleen |

Thanks. I see you added <n.if.not.list_is_empty> I'll see what result I get tomorrow.
The test I did to see if it was related to being subscribed to "all posts" vs only "new posts" - it doesn't seem to matter - I got the email with 0 posts for both situations. So at least it rules that out. I'll let you know what I see tomorrow. Coleen |
