Sometimes people post messages that are blatantly self-promotional and not helpful to the conversation. I need to be able to delete these replies without deleting the entire post, but I don't see an option for that. Help?

If you are viewing the full post then there should be an option on the "More" menu for that item "Delete this post and replies". If the post really is disruptive then presumably no one will have replied, or any replies will be of the kind that are also disruptive and you can use that option.
If you are using certain Nabble applications at the top level (I know this works for a MIXED application. I haven't tested all the others) then you can be more sophisticated. First go to OPTIONS > APPLICATION > EXTRAS & ADD-ONS > CONTENT and check the box for "Smart Application Pages". Now create a sub-forum (Call it "Admin Only" or "Moderated Posts" or something similar) under your top level application and remove the permission to view from all groups except Administrators. This forum will then be completely invisible to ordinary users (i.e. you don't even get the "Authorized Users Only - Access Request" screen). You can now move any offensive posts to this hidden forum. Replies will move too, but it is easy enough to move them back to the original forum if that is appropriate. To Nabble Team: It would be good if the text associated with the "Smart Application Pages" check box told us which applications the feature described above works with. I know it doesn't work with "Forum"!

That’s the thing, I don’t want to remove the post, just one reply on a good post. Sometimes people come on and kind of highjack a valid post for their own self-promotion. I think I must be misunderstanding you (your use of the term "the post" is curious) or you misunderstand my earlier reply, as you seem just to be repeating your original post without adding any clarification. Remember I said '"More" menu for that item' not the "More" menu for any post other than the one you want to delete. When you then select "Delete this post and replies" it means: "Delete this post and replies to this post" (not replies to other posts within the topic). In other words: # It won't delete the entire topic (i.e. the original post and all replies to any replies) # It won't delete replies to other messages (just replies to the selected message) You may get a clearer understanding of which messages count as replies (and, therefore, which messages will be deleted) if you switch to "Threaded" View. In that view only those messages immediately under and indented further to the currently highlighted message count as replies to the highlighted post. My suggestion for moving a post to a hidden forum stands as well, and has the benefit that it is recoverable should you make the wrong move, whereas a deletion cannot be undone.

Hi,
try to see your post in "Threaded" in instead of "Classic". You will see clearly which replies are "under" the spam, these that will be deleted and not every reply that is under the spam in classic view. But, there is a way to do this "delete content" function with NAML.
My test forum.
