It is loading for me. Was it a temporary glitch for you too?

Nabble's servers do occasionally have problems and do regularly undergo maintenance operations overnight (overnight in their host country may mean early morning in the UK). For example, have you noticed that digest mail deliveries for this forum almost always appear at close to 09:00. That's a strange time to do a significant maintenance task to a UK audience but, no doubt, will be the middle of the night where the job is done.
You forum is working fine for me here in rural Norfolk, UK, at 11:20 this morning.

I am also in the Uk and I still can't get in at 14:40…
I have changed nothing, it is embedded on a blogger site, can't get in there (the rest of the site loads fine). I have tried the direct URL and it won't let me in there either. Any ideas? |

Both your forums are loading for me, this morning. I see one is on the x6 server and the other n4.
As I can see them both and they are on different Nabble servers, I doubt that the problem is under control of Nabble, but somewhere in the chain of servers between Nabble and the location of the servers of your two hosts. Perhaps Pedro will be along shortly to offer ideas or guidance.

I'm not sure, they both loaded well for me. As we didn't have more complains on those servers I believe it might have been a local glitch.
My test forum.

So…
I can't get in via any device (computer, laptop, iPad or iPhone) whilst it is connected via wifi at home, but if I connect via 3G on my phone it is fine. Has my ISP (Sky) blocked Nabble? Any thoughts would be appreciated |

That is certainly possible. Some ISPs have viscous spam filters. Frequently, Nabble subscriptions to btinternet.com addresses end up in customer's Spam boxes unless they whitelist nabble.com. However, I have not heard of any Nabble forum being blocked up till now. It could be worth checking with Sky.

Hi Greg,
I put a post on the sky help forum and got this reply: Times out for me on ADSL. IP address 5.65.xxx.xxx Using google dns. To my knowledge, blocks within the 5.65 & 5.70 ranges are the most recently acquired by sky. It does occasionally crop up that these addresses are being blocked by a particular site or service - a hangover from before sky owned them. edit I can get there using a proxy, so it looks like an IP problem. Advice in this situation has always been to contact the sites' admin people & report that they must be blocking certain IP addresses. So is Nabble blocking these ip address ranges? Rob |
