Hi
I want to get forum topic updates to appear on the front page of my website, but I can't get it to work. When I test either of the feeds from the forum with the W3 validator I get the message that it isn't a valid feed and is actually just a web page. If I copy a feed from another forum (such as Nabble support) it works fine. I'm probably being a total numpty here but I can't figure this out. The feeds shown on my forum are as below: Atom feeds for Roker Canoe Club Forums feeds Topics only http://roker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com/Roker-Canoe-Club-Forums-ft1.xml feeds Topics and replies http://roker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com/Roker-Canoe-Club-Forums-f1.xml Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have only just moved the forum on to Nabble and getting Topics to appear on the website front page is essential. Cheers..... Mike |

Do either of these topics help?
http://support.nabble.com/How-to-List-New-Forum-Topics-on-Home-Page-tp7580396p7580430.html http://support.nabble.com/HTML-widgets-in-sidebars-tp7580917p7580983.html I found them in a search but don't have the skills to advise further.

Hi
Thanks for taking a look but no, they don’t help. The issue seems to be that on my forum the link that reads http://roker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com/Roker-Canoe-Club-Forums-ft1.xml doesn’t actually point to an .xml file at all - it is actually an .html file Cheers….. Mike

I suspect you are just clicking the link and not adding the file to your feed reader. Do you have a feed reader installed?

Hi
The feeds don't work in a feed validator - they just seem to be html files not xml. You can try it here http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Froker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com%2FRoker-Canoe-Club-Forums-ft1.xml If you substitute my forum feed with the one from the Nabble support forum it works fine. Any help appreciated....... |

Oops!
Sorry for not checking and disbelieving you. You're right! That is not the expected file. And it's beyond my abilities to help. Over to Pedro...
