Some forums now have ads.

One site has a "disable ads" button. The details are in the thread below; it's a long story. We track whether a visitor has clicked the disable ads button, in order to remember it when they visit the site again. This does involve storing data - we're simply storing a true or false on whether they clicked the button.

These are the only changes in the past few months.

On your site, I have tried accessing it with blocking enabled in the latest version of Firefox, and also tried it with AdBlock Plus. The only thing from Nabble being blocked is Google Analytics, which we have had for years and is a standard thing that most sites have.

There are some threads you have with embedded Youtube videos. These contain ads that have nothing to do with us; they are put there by YouTube.
