A number of reasons: We’ve been informed by our lawyers that the forums violate GDPR regulations, as people subscribing and posting to the lists did not explicitly subscribe to the forums. The forums' role as an archive is redundant, as an archive exists. The forums cause increased maintenance requirements and problems from unsubscribed posters, etc.

In any case, I’d be grateful if you could take care of this ASAP.
