I gather you are attempting to post to a mail list via Nabble archive of that list.

In such cases Nabble simply has its own subscription to the list in question and re-posts all the messages it receives through its subscription to a forum.

Any posts made to the forum are forwarded to the mail list with the Nabble user's email details shown as sender.

If you are not a subscriber to the original list then most mail lists will reject the post. When Nabble detects this it displays the message: "This post has NOT been accepted by the mailing list yet."

The most likely cause of the conflict you describe is that you have registered at the Nabble archive with a different email address to that used in your subscription to the mail list.
