We removed Google AdSense which wasn't worth the trouble, and we are looking at unobtrusive ways to advertise.  Two options are redirecting to an ad for forums that have been deleted and adding small links in the footer.  We are using our own forums for now as targets for testing.  If anyone finds this objectionable, please let us know.
