Hi Mack,
I also got the same message and, like Shamus, I'd say it appears coincidental that it got to your mailbox soon after another genuine message from Nabble. The version I received (also to a GMail account - so I had to check out my Spam folder to even be aware it had been delivered) shows these amongst its header lines:
Received-SPF: softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning generalsusanhelms930@gmail.com does not designate 162.253.133.43 as permitted sender) client-ip=162.253.133.43;
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com;
       spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning generalsusanhelms930@gmail.com does not designate 162.253.133.43 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=generalsusanhelms930@gmail.com;
       dmarc=fail (p=NONE dis=NONE) header.from=gmail.com
so it seems any decently configured mail server should trap it before it reaches your inbox.

It is slightly surprising that someone seems to have bothered to generate a bot that can work its way through Nabble's registration and email capability. It gives Nabble more credibility that I assumed it had!

If anything my complaint would be the reason for treating it as spam. I would have preferred it if it had been labelled as a message that was "similar to other mail that have been labelled spam" (or whatever the actual wording is that Google uses for such mail).
