You have probably found by now the post at:
http://support.nabble.com/Only-admins-can-delete-posts-td7590798.html

As you have probably guessed there is also a "can_edit" macro, which would also need editing. I don't regard myself as skilled enough to advise on the lines to comment out on that one. Perhaps you could make a guess?
