To remove a group go to:
Options > Users > Manage users & groups

On the "Manage Users & Groups" screen select the group then delete all users in that group and click the "Save changes" button. Empty groups cannot exist and are removed.

If the group has other members and is to remain but you only wish to remove a single email address then could just delete the single address. However, it is expected that you will use the User Profile screen (accessed by clicking the user's avatar or username). There you find a set of check boxes against each group the user belongs to. Clear the relevant box and click on "Save".
