Hi Jo,

I am very new to nabble and did not realize that you need to set up another account to access the forum.
You are not alone, so don't feel embarrassed about that.
I understand people can subscribe via email through the options panel but thought I had to approve it or that there was something else I was missing.
Opting in to subscribing is entirely in the hands of the user of your forum not you as the administrator.

The most you can do is issue invitations, but you need to ask Nabble to add that module to your forum. There is special area of the Support forum where you should make that request. Remember to quote the URL of your forum.

The recipient of an invitation email still has to confirm they want to subscribe. On the other hand, administrators can unsubscribe any subscriber.

Because subscribers can reply to the emails they receive from a forum, encouraging them can be a mistake as, these days, most email users top-post their relies over the above the quoted text of the original message. That can clutter a forum or comments on a blog post with ever extending repetitious quotes of the original post.

Do you really want subscribers, or are you just trying to get people to visit your blog?
