Atom Feeds not working

Hi
I want to get forum topic updates to appear on the front page of my website, but I can't get it to work. When I test either of the feeds from the forum with the W3 validator I get the message that it isn't a valid feed and is actually just a web page. If I copy a feed from another forum (such as Nabble support) it works fine.
I'm probably being a total numpty here but I can't figure this out. The feeds shown on my forum are as below:
Atom feeds for Roker Canoe Club Forums
feeds Topics only
http://roker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com/Roker-Canoe-Club-Forums-ft1.xmlfeeds Topics and replies
http://roker-canoe-club-forums.39694.n7.nabble.com/Roker-Canoe-Club-Forums-f1.xmlAny help would be greatly appreciated. I have only just moved the forum on to Nabble and getting Topics to appear on the website front page is essential.
