I have a "Board app at:
http://www.muddybroadbluesband.co.uk/
and all you'll be able to see is the "News" subcategory. There are half a dozen more that I can see when logged in.

Almost certainly this is an issue with "View" permissions. What are your "View" permissions for each group and at each level in your app?

It is also possible that it is a mistake to allow any posts at the top level. I would always put even the material that I want "Anyone" to see within a subcategory. It gives a more consistent appearance to the forum.
