How to hide non-viewable categories from category list?

Hi,

my front page (http://en.ise.link) is of application type "Board", it shows a list of categories with sub-categories.
Some of the categories are only permitted to view by Members, so when viewing the page as a public anonymous user, not registered, not logged in, then you see all the private categories and sub-categories in the list, and when you click on them, you are asked to log in.
Now I want to hide these private categories and sub-categories completely from view for anyone who doesn't have permission to view them. Anonymous users shall not even see that they exist. Only logged-in members shall see them in the list of categories and sub-categories.
I browsed through the options menu, but couldn't find any way how to achieve that.
Is it possible at all, and if yes, how?
