Just following up on 'deleting' users. Can this be done.
No! Once a user has registered they will always be registered (unless you get Nabble to play with the database, but that is rarely appropriate and often pointless. For example, You can't ban a member unless they are registered. Had you removed them as a registered user, they could just register again, as registration is entirely in the hands of the user, not the Administrator.)
I...have a user who is registered, even an administrator and has been added to the Members group, yet cannot login. Is there a way of a. resetting his login details, and or b. deleting that user and have him start the registration process again.
I believe Nabble can adjust a forum's user database however, before attempting either a) or b) it would be best to investigate exactly why your user can't login.
Can you confirm that they appear in the list showing users in the "Anyone" group?
Can you confirm that they appear in the list showing users in the "Registered" group?
If they appear in both, can the user be sure they are using the correct email address and password to login?
(You can see if the are using the correct email address, but the password is their secret and neither you nore Nabble can reset that.)
What message is displayed when the user attempts to login?
If not, has the user clicked the link in the email Nabble would have sent them on registration?
They'll be more questions depending on your answers...
