It is the nature of the technology that emails show the address of the sender - so that you can reply. Anyone who sends an email must know that! How can there be any surprise or breach of privacy or confidentiality in that?

If you want to stop users communicating outside of your forum then it is possible for you to remove the "send email to xxxx" by editing the appropriate NAML macro.
