I just counted the steps on the process to try to be invisible

Chrome Preferences >  Click History
Clear Browsing Data
Close Window
Back to Forum - it shows me logged in, but I am not
Hit log out
Hit log in
Enter email, password
Log in
Find my avatar click it
Click Account Settings
Click Advance Settings
Hide my online indicator (sometimes it's still check sometimes not?)
Wait 5 minutes
Usually works for a few hours

I do this 15-20x a day - it takes about 5 mins, not counting reentering all my other logins and passwords.

Would love to resolve this.
