I did some testing and it doesn't matter whether the subscription is at the upper level or the lower level.  It seems more to do with the email address (or ISP).  Everything that goes to my gojade.org email address shows the From line as:

From: [e-mail]; on behalf of; Marti Crapo [via What's new at SU!] [[e-mail]]

Everything that goes to my sudsol.com & gmail email addresses shows Marti Crapo [via What's new at SU!] [[e-mail]]

So maybe it's just an ISP thing.  The subscription-bounces wording just concerned me. But I'm not going to worry about it.
