I don't quite follow that remark.

You can subscribe to a forum, in which case you get all messages posted in that forum and all sub-forums.
You can subscribe to a sub-forum, in which case you get all messages posted in that sub-forum and all sub-forums.
You can subscribe to a topic, in which case you get all messages posted in that topic.

In the first two cases you have the choice of receiving the initial message in any topic or all the replies as well. You can also opt to receive a daily digest rather than a copy of each individual message as it is posted.

2012 under GregChapman ID regarding Philspar receiving unwanted messages.

That post concerns a Nabble archive of a mail list hosted elsewhere and does not relate to this issue. "Nabble Support" is Nabble's own forum, to which it is possible to subscribe and receive copies of the posts made to the forum via email.

I only completed a single registration to join Nabble support. I have received e-mails on many
different forum topics which I have never viewed or even heard of.

Be careful with your terminology. "Registering" simply means that you are granted posting rights on the forum. This does not relate to "Subscribing" which is the process of requesting that you get sent, via email, copies of posts made to the forum.

You will receive many e-mails on many different forum topics if you subscribe to a forum or sub-forum. If you are only interested in a single topic then subscribe to just that topic (You check the "Alert me by email when someone posts to this thread" box) and unsubscribe from the sub-forum or forum that contains the topic.

Seems to me that either someone somewhere in Nabble has incorrectly added my "ad-min" ID (= administrator for my own private forum) as an administrator ID for Nabble or that somewhere people are selecting my "ad-min" ID as a Nabble Admin ID and then including me in their correspondence.

That's not the way it seems to me. I reckon you've just subscribed at a level you did not intend.
