Do you really mean "today"? We all lost the "Invite Subscribers" module a while ago and instead see the message:

If you want to invite subscribers, please request this feature in the Nabble Support forum. We can install this module for you, but the Nabble team must approve this request to prevent abuse and spam.

If you want it back, post the URL of your forum here.

Also, I was unable to access the selection where you could confirm the registration of a new member from the email.

Are you looking in the right place? It is unlikely that you would lose just that one function without noticing other options going missing. You should find it at: Options > Application > Extras & Add-ons > Email and Notifications.

For both of these you need to be logged in under your Administrative username, of course.
