Search for a NAML macro that contains the phrase "This post was updated on" and you find it occurs in "updated_notice". The link "Usages of this macro" shows it is called from quite a number of places. Find the one that affects the type of post you want to control and delete or comment out the code that calls the macro and you should have cracked it.
