Wouldn't it be better to sort out his real problem, i.e. why he can't log in, rather than try a work-around of deleting him, so he can just re-create the account?

What are his exact symptoms?

It may just be a question of the user needing to report the forum URL and username here and allowing the folk at Nabble to send him a new password so he can then log into his account and then change to one he likes.

I've got a user having problems and the only way I can imagine to let him get out and back in (he can't access the forum because he's registered and it won't let him) is to delete him. But I see no way for an administrator to do this!
Only the user himself can delete an account. Of course, that assumes he is using the right address and password and can gain access to the account to delete it.

I can't imagine a forum that doesn't let the admin delete a user.
I don't know of any forum software that does allow you to delete a user, but maybe I haven't searched hard enough. It seems to be the assumption that forum users just drift away. It's not like a mail list, where it is important that you can remove addresses from a distribution list.
All I see is BAN user.
That's because the assumption is people either drift away or cause trouble. As admin you only have to worry about those who cause trouble. It's why what you need to do is sort out the real problem, which is why he can't login in the first place. The most likely cause is entering a wrong email address or password. It is easy enough for you to confirm that he is using the correct email address. After that you must assume that either there is a wrong password being used or there is an fault in the system.

That's why Nabble need to be told.

To Nabble: Perhaps there should be a new feature added that allows admins to issue a new password for users in trouble?
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!
Once the admin for GregHelp now deleted.
