What I was asking was for the posts/threads within one forum to  show the first three responses in classic and the all the rest in list.

Basically the first three will be part of my listing:

trail map
mountain statistics
mountain history

and I'm thinking it would function like wikipedia - below that people could add to the knowledge of the mountain history.  Originally I thought I could just delete the user comments and ADD the input to the history part of the post, but then you have to explain WHY people are getting email about deleted posts. So I thought if the input was in list form it would be better visually.  Let me know if you understand.  :)
