In fact I was not reducing, I got the image from the "May 16, 2011; 7:45am — by <apple_image> mywaytoo" that shows up when we reply a message. ;-)
It was small and I tried to enlarge.
Yes, quality drops more a when we enlarge and drops less when we reduce.
