Ok, however on other forums when you register you have the option of receiving admin emails when you register.

This is essentially the feature I am looking for is to send out an admin email to all the members of my forum, to let them know about site updates, new features etc, to help drive visitors back to the site and improve traffic.

You will see that I have a free business advertising forum below in my signature and I would like to contact users of this forum to prompt them to return to the site and also offer them the opportunity to unsubscribe should they wish too.

When do you think the SMTP option will be available?
