There is a small critical difference in Creator (you) and Co-owners (them). A creator can always terminate a co-owner. So, if a co-owner doesn't live up to your standard, you can remove him.

But if this is just not what you want, can you point us to a forum hosting service or a forum product that has the ideal separation of "owner" vs "owner-granted-moderator". I'll look into it.
