Howcome members

one of my friends joined the forums, he told me it sent a confirmation request. I accepted it, he went to another subforum, it sent another request to me. I dont want it that I check my email one day and theres like 500 request from just 100 people. Is there a way when they register on my forums that it sends just ONE request and they have access to everything in their position of the forums?
