AFAICT, I may be wrong:

* SMTP messages to lists from Nabble, posts that originate in Nabble, may be bugged

* SMTP messages arising from a topic-specific subscription (i.e. Options | Subscribe via email) are not bugged.

(Does that distinction help?)
