If introduced:

* the shortcut should be optional, not present by default.

If the shortcut is present by default in a forum that is embedded:

* users will confuse log out from Nabble 2 with log out from the surrounding environment.

My colleagues' situation in a single-building multi-institutional environment necessitates multiple credentials, multiple log ins; SSO is an ideal that may never be realised, even with Kerberos.

In multiple/many log in situations it is, for security, essential to have zero confusion concerning multiple log outs.
