Invitation from flag to login fails to present login dialogue

When clicking on a flag,

> You must be logged in to flag a message.
> Would you like to login now?
> [Cancel]  [[OK]]

Clicking OK does not lead to a login dialogue.

Using Safari 3.1.2 (5525.20.1) on Mac OS X 10.5.4.
