You can simply click the "Topics View" link on your forum page, and see all the threads sorted by the last post. This will give you a view of all the latest threads. Vs an option for the last xx hours of posts may be too few posts or too many.

If you like the topics view better, I recommend that you use Options->Editor->Forum format to change the format to topics view. This will show your topics instead of the forum structure as the front page.
