suggestion to not repeat what comment is responding to..

hello guys,

i find that when we respond to a post, Nabble states below the comment  of what one is responding to.

it already was posted above, when people make a comment below. why do you do that? am i missing something here?

it makes it more busy, smushes the words if too long. so the text is not no longer nicely spaced as in a posting.

can you consider changing it, you have done such nice work every where else + as you continue to work on few other quirks.

It sounds as if some of those posting on your forum are subscribed via email.

Many of these people will accept their email program defaults and "top post" their reply above a full quotation of the original message.

There is nothing you can do to control this at source except persuade your contributors that "top posting" is a hideous crime and they should never quote the full text of an original post when replying to any mail list. At most they should only include a quote of the sentence or phrase necessary to put their reply in context.

Once a top-posted reply has appeared on your forum all you can do is turn on the administrator-only permission "Edit_all". This will allow those with administrator rights to edit the contributor's post and remove the unnecessary quotation.
