removing virus from mbox

I have an mbox file from a long running Mailman list that I would like to convert to a Nabble forum. When I put a copy of this file on my desktop (Mac), my virus scanner informed me it contained a (Windows) virus (Worm.BAGLE.AG.2). I thought that this sort of thing would be common among people preparing to convert a list to Nabble, but I don't see it mentioned on the forum.

Does anyone have any advice on cleaning up the mbox file prior to Nabble conversion?

We have never seen a case like this one before and we believe it is dangerous to upload the file as it is. You may try to identify the message that contains the virus and try to remove it manually from the archive, but I am not sure how easy this would be.
