pending posts although subscribed

Hello,

i have problems with pending posts. I know about registration to the forum and subscribing to the mailing list and did everything as recommanded. I registered for the forum  vtigercrm-developers and also subscribed to the mailing list. i get emails via the mailing list but when i log in to the forum i can see that my posts are still pending...

does someone know why??

Unless there is a strange bug with your particular mail list, the only reason for there being pending posts at Nabble is because you have NOT subscribed to the mail list itself. (Don't confuse subscribing to the archive and subscribing to the list!)

You need to be fully aware of the mechanic's of a mail list archive hosted at Nabble.

Nabble is simply a subscriber at the mail list. Any mail received from the mail list server will be added it to it's archive.

Subscribing at the Nabble archive, simply gets you copies of anything received from the mail list server by Nabble as emails.

Registering at the Nabble archive will allow you to post at the archive. Nabble does two things with a message posted at the archive:

1. It generates an email from your post and forwards it to the mail list.
2. It presents you, and only you, with a "pending" notification. No other Nabble user will be aware of your post.

If Nabble receives, through its subscription to the mail list, a copy of your message it then removes the "pending" notice that only you see and adds the message it's received from the mail list to its archive. Only then do you and everyone else see that message in the archive.

It is therefore vital that you subscribe at the mail list server. If you don't, any email generated by Nabble on your behalf will not be accepted by the mail list and so won't appear on Nabble's archive - but it will continue to show to you as pending.

(which i did) and i am also registered at the vtiger crm forum (which you mean by archive?).

I receive mails via the mailing list and also my post was forwarded via the mailing list to my email account.
Althoug if i click on "my posts" i can see that the two posts that i sent via mailing list, are still pending.

You'll see that it comes from the Nabble archive NOT the mail list itself. You have subscribed to the Nabble archive. You say you are getting mail from the list, but I strongly suspect you are not. Rather you are getting mail from your Nabble archive subscription. (The only puzzle is that it seems that the person controlling the archive sent you the invitation to subscribe to the archive.)

Go to the link that you see in that message. You'll see that at the top of the page it tells you that you are at the archive of the mail list, NOT the mail list itself. Use the "More Options" link that you see there. The page that link takes you to tells you all about the mail list and its web address. (It also provides a button to subscribe to the mail list itself.)

It would seem that whoever set up the archive did so badly as the link to the web site is broken. It should read:

I would recommend that you go there to subscribe to the mail list. You'll also find a link to the official mail list archive, although the format of that is not very user-friendly, which is why people often set up a further archive at Nabble.

As far as I can see there is no "vtiger crm forum", so I think you are referring to the archive.

All that suggests that you are only interacting with the Nabble archive and haven't actually subscribed to the mail list yet.
