Hi,
I've spent close to a day over the last month reading nabble doc and forums trying to find the answer. Q: Is it possible to setup a connection between nabble and https://forum.handbrake.fr/faq.php ?? I did try this per the nabble doc, but the header to "my" group says it is tracking postings to my personal email address. (I must have set it up wrong). http://handbrake-fr.1127314.n5.nabble.com/ So 1. is this possible, given the forum nature of that URL 2. can I fix my current attempt, or should I just delete it and start over again? 3. bonus -- can you point me to doc on the correct way to do this? (I have several other forums that need the help of nabble's far superior display and search features). Sorry for what is probably the 1000th time this has been asked. |
What do you mean by "connection"? If you are the owner of the site you can create a page on that site where you could embed your Nabble forum. However, I see that is a site that is created with phpBB. That is forum software and the owners of that site will have chosen to use that because they did not consider getting the full content of posts by email important. There is no way of getting a phpBB based site to generate emails with full content without writing the necessary code yourself and plugging it into that forum yourself. The best you can do as a user of that site is to set your personal account there to receive email notifications that new posts have been made. These will contain links that take you to that forum. I think your questions are all based on a false assumption about what Nabble can do. You seem to be wanting to create a mail list out of the output of of a another forum based site. Nabble cannot do that. Nabble can only produce a forum based archive out of a mail list, the exact opposite of what you seem to be attempting. If I have misunderstood you intention you'll need to explain your plan further.
