I was frustrated the other day when I was logged in to Nabble (Nabble Support forum) but could not reply to a message in another Nabble forum.
Is this a casualty of the new registration process?
> Hopefully, registration takes just one or two minutes.
One of the things I liked about Nabble 2 was that one registration covered all Nabble 2 forums. To be honest, I'm disappointed by the recent directions … YMMV.
I agree, I do see this as a big problem, I am using nabble on different sites on the same homepage and want all my members to be abel to login on one site and than use the same on all other site´s.....
Hi Graham, I understand your concern about the new implementation. But you should also consider the benefits it will bring to Nabble in the future. For example:
- Administrators will be able to define new fields for the user profile page (e.g., city, country, company, etc.);
- Administrators can now see the email of each registered user, which gives them more control over who is using the app;
- Administrators will be able to send emails to registered users with any information they want;
This is just the beginning, let alone the benefits templates will bring too. So you should consider this trade-off and we believe that the advantages of the new implementation exceed those from the old system.
If you want to have a single registration process, then you should place all applications under the same root. Maybe you can post links to your sites so that I can check what you are trying to do.
