I recently changed my settings to include anonymous guest.
I have my parent forum set so people cannot start new topics there, but have to start new topics in my sub forums. previously if you did click new topic in my parent forum, you saw a list of sub forums to start new topics in and a message saying please use a sub forum to post new topics in. Now, because i have set my parent forum as only administrators can start new topics, when an anonymous guest tries to post there) instead of seeing the message telling them to use a sub forum it is just a login page (supposedly for the administrators to login if they want to post there. When my anonymous guests see the login page they imagine anonymous guests are not allowed. but they are, they just need to use sub forums. I'd much prefer that anonymous guests see the list of sub forums and the message telling them to use sub forums, rather than a login page, this is causing some confusion for anonymous guests who click new topic in my sub forum. the login page on my parent forum that appears when someone clicks new topic, needs to include a message to anonymous guests and members saying use sub forums to post, and a list of sub forums as it did before.
