how to restrict users to post only in sub-forums

I've seen this question answered already on the forum. The solution I see involved clicking on "Options > Users > Who can view & post?" and select "Everyone can participate, but restricted topics". However I'm not seeing this option on my forum : www.323fsport.com/forum.html ; it is of application type mixed. Please assist,guys.

We changed that interface, but this is still possible. Please open that page again and click on "Need Help?" link. It will explain how to do that. Please let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for the response. However I believe that option instructs a user to seek authorization to post in the parent forum when he tries to do such. Is there a way to force him to choose a subforum when he tries to do such?

To force users to choose a sub-forum when they click on the "New Topic" link, you must either select [everyone, members, everyone] or [members, administrators, members] in the "Options > Users > Who can view & post?" page. Please try that and let me know if you still have questions.
