forum access rights

HI,
   I have created a new forum.
   Can I have restriction on the people who can visit the forum

You can go to your forum, click Options->Users->Who can view & post, there you can set the forum to be viewable only by authorized users. Then other users can request to be added to the authorized list. Does this meet your need?
