css changes not displaying in Windows 7

camperz
I have setup my forum, then proceeded to make some changes to the css styles. I made a simple change to test it. .nabble .light-black { color: #000000; Changed the title to black as above. Tested the style and it confirmed the change. Reloaded forum...no change in firefox, booted up IE no change either. Booted up another laptop with old version of IE and XP...change displayed. I also added #forum-title { display:none; } to the styles as I did not want my page title to be overridden. This did not work anywhere either on XP or Windows 7. Can anyone help? Michael

Not positive but it could be a caching thing. I've had that when I've made CSS changes. In other words the changes are actually in effect but you aren't seeing them yet.

I've made changes that others could see, but I couldn't until a while later.

Could very well be a caching thing -
Many ISPs are using Caching to speed up loading web sites -
They cache/save a site - expecting you will return again -
I have seen where AOL can/will cache a web site any where from 4 hours to 4 dazes.
You can get around that by clearing your cache - How to - depends on your ISP...
With AOL it's >Information Systems >Utilities >clear

It's like saving a web site as a .mht file -

If ya saved the New York Times as a .mht file - the date would always be the date you saved it.

Good lock - Claude

Maybe you didn't save it , it completely works fine for me.

Try this
Copy the CSS over to notepad,
Edit it how you want it
And then paste it back into the css editor in nabble
And save it.

Thanks for the ideas, but this is definitely not happening. This is an example of a change I made.

<.nabble h1, .nabble .light-black { color: #000000; } .nabble h2, .nabble .light-black { color: red;}

I click test style, it shows H1 as black and H2 as red. I click save changes, go back to the forum, no change.

Go back to confirm css is as it should be, it is.

This is driving me crazy.

Working in FF on windows 7. This is not a cache issue BTW. Is there something I'm missing???? It is an embedded forum.
