configurating my nabble forum.

samson
Hello everyone,

i have just created a nabble forum on my website and i was wondering how can configurate my forum.
When someone goes into my forum, there is three section ( i have created) and i would like people to go into those sections to post their topic.
for the moment i think they can post topics on the main page of the forum, and it's gonna be a mess really quick.

is there a solution for that ? I went into  options but haven t find the way to block people from posting on the main page.

thank you.

I see you have replied under my other message, but it makes more sense to continue here.

What i want is to disable people (registerder or unregistered) to post topic on the main page, but once they click on one of my sub forum ( LOGIC, AFTER EFFECT OR FINAL CUT) i want them to be allowed to post what they want.
Do this:

1. Go to the main page.
2. Select OPTIONS > USERS > CHANGE PERMISSIONS
3. In the  "Create_Topic" row change from "Default" to "Modify"
4. Under the "Anyone" column, clear the boxes for "Create_Topic"

This stops people posting at the top level.

Now go to each sub-forum in turn and do these actions:

1. Select OPTIONS > USERS > CHANGE PERMISSIONS
2. In the  "Create_Topic" and "Reply" rows change from "Inherit" to "Modify"
3. Under the "Anyone" columns, check the boxes for "Create_Topic" and "Reply"

This gives people back the posting permission that you took away at the top level.

Note that because those in the "Registered" group MUST also be members of the "Anyone" group, there is no need to change posting permissions of the registered group. They have the correct permission as they already belong to the "anyone" group.
