I just found Nabble yesterday. I successfully posted pictures in a regular forum. Now I'm trying to do the same in a Gallery. I browse for the image, but only the code shows in the post.
It does show a thumbnail as shown on the root page. I've tried Firefox and Chrome:
I'm really delighted to find such a great service. Thks, Bob

Hi
Could you give me the link to your app ?
My test forum.

There appears to be a more general problem.
Link code is also being displayed instead of a link. See: http://seahawk-forum.968426.n3.nabble.com/eBay-Listing-Aylsham-tp3681476p3681857.html

Greg, the problem in that URL is that you have a space char between "...Sporting_" and "Goods...". Please remove that space char and it will work fine. |

Hi bob Hack, I am not sure I understand what the problem is. If you are talking about the <nabble_img< tags when you write your post, that's how it works. You will not see images when you compose a message, but you should see them when you preview or save the post.

After I post, it shows a proper thumbnail, but when I click on the thumbnail or link under it, I just get the code <nabble_img src="2011-09-03_09.31.46_[640x480].jpg" border="0" alt="Flower Insect"/> (this the code that is generated during upload from the browse box). I've tried posting this with Firefox, IE and Chrome. I've tried downloading this page on my desktop, tablet and phone. I always get the thumbnail and just the src code (instead of the full image) when I click on the link. Yet yesterday a few images posted correctly. See http://mainly-my-photos.2306.n6.nabble.com/ and http://special-projects.2194.n6.nabble.com/Test-td3979502.html I have a meeting tomorrow and would dearly like to be in a position to demo Nabble. Otherwise everything else I have tried to do in Nabble (on two separate accounts) has worked as expected. Just this one hangup. I am confused as Pedro about how you are achieving your results. Clearly you are capable of posting images correctly. Your posts at:
http://mainly-my-photos.2306.n6.nabble.com/ prove that. However... Can you explain how you made the post at: http://spac-home.2256.n6.nabble.com/Coaches-Corner-td4344814.html That is, describe each keystroke and mouse click. Looking at that code snippet, I wonder if you just took it from another post, which had been generated using the Image upload dialogue, and pasted it into a second post. That won't work as you need to use the image upload dialogue to insert any image. If you want to reuse one of your images then you should right-click over the image in the original post (such as those you have successfully made at: http://mainly-my-photos.2306.n6.nabble.com/Flowers-td4098838.html ) and use "Copy link location" and then paste the copied code into the "Insert Image" dialogue in the "Or copy an image from the Internet:" field. So you have an image at: http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/file/t293387/2011-10-12_11.57.42.jpgI insert it here by doing that! NOTE: I had to use the [raw] tags on your image URLs as the Nabble software will automatically change an image URL posted within a message to "code". You can check how it does that if you use the [Preview Message] box before posting. Final Thought: I think I have just found the solution to your problem. In testing this message before posting it I discovered the stuff I wrote in the NOTE: above!

Can you explain how you made the post at:
http://spac-home.2256.n6.nabble.com/Coaches-Corner-td4344814.html That is, describe each keystroke and mouse click. I am attaching a video clip showing the steps I have taken. NOTE: I had to use the [raw] tags on your image URLs as the Nabble software will automatically change an image URL posted within a message to "code". You can check how it does that if you use the [Preview Message] box before posting. When I first started using Nabble around the 23rd, everything worked slick. Then it would render the thumbnails OK, but no full image. Then it wouldn't load anything. Up until noon today, nothing worked. Not my main desktop, not my backup desktop, not my laptop, not my netbook and not my Samsung tab. I tried Firefox, IE, and Chrome. Nothing. After my lunch break, it worked on everything! Nothing happened different on my equipment. No new installs, no new downloads, nothing. This makes me wonder if there is not something happening with Nabble. Especially because of the way it partially quit and then completely. If I was doing something wrong, why would it show the thumbnails and not the full sized-image? Anyways it is working now. I hope it stays that way. .... bob On 1/28/2012 4:14 AM, GregChapman [via Nabble Support] wrote: I am confused as Pedro about how you are achieving your results. Hi Bob,
Well, I can't see anything strange with what you did in that. It was just the result that was strange.
It certainly could be. n6 is one of their newer servers and it is possible something is amiss with that one server. Nabble do release updates and tweaks to their software on a fairly regular basis and very occasionally things do get out of sync, especially if there is some kind of hardware or load issue only affecting one of their servers. My forums are all on the n3 server, so that could be why I can't replicate your problem. I think this is a case where we need to await a response from one of the Nabble team.

Bob,
please, try to upload an image that doesn't have these characters " [ " and "]" .

It should work. Anyway, we'll work on this.
