can the footer link Edit this page be removed from blog and news

Ronnie Hill
I was really feeling uneasy when noticed that anyone can click on Edit this page and have full access to app software and want to remove that link completely from all but administrators to protect my blog and news from vandals

I guess you haven't tried  logging in as a user with less than Administrator rights or tried logging in to someone else's forum. If you did then you would find that while people can examine the code, they cannot edit it.

It's part of Nabble's way of showing newcomers how wonderfully flexible and customisable their forums are.

As an administrator you could edit the NAML code to remove it - but then you lock yourself out of what may turn out to be a necessary facility.

Had you searched the forum fort "edit this page" before making your post you might have found your point made and answered several times before. You might also have found:

Screwy Brewer
Why not create a FAQ (frequently asked questions) topic that covers many of these types of reoccurring questions Greg?

I agree! I do wish that Nabble was better at documenting their product.

There used a system to "star" posts. I could then use the facility of where to find all these answers, but it was withdrawn. The reason given:  hardly anyone used it.
