can't login

I can no longer log in to the EVDL forum.  It accepts my email address and password without error and sends me back to the forum, but it still says "login" at the top right rather than "logout", and if I try to reply to a post it sends me back to the login page with the message "you must login to reply".  If I type an incorrect password it posts an error, so it seems to accept my correct password, but does not log me in.

I see from the tomw profile there that you have been posting to the list from 16 Nov  last year till 1 Feb. I take it that has always been via the web and not through your mail program?

Yes, everything Greg said is correct.  That is the archive I have been posting on - actually for about 3 years, on the net, not through email, and that is my login.  Then one day I could no longer log in.  It seems to accept my email address and password, giving no error, but does not actually log me in.  If I then click on "reply" to a message, it again sends me to the login page, and continues in an endless loop.  I tried to login again today and got Error 500.  May have hit a wrong key.  I don't know what other information you may require.

It is some problem with my computer.  I found I can log in from my work computer fine.  I don't know what changed. Maybe an MS update changed something.
